Which is a new show premiering in March.  I tuned in on On Demand and…

I fell in love.

Seriously, this was my reaction:

It’s fantastic.  The little boy — Jacob — played by David Mazouz is fantastic.  The kid does not speak, doesn’t even look at people.  He does an amazing job for an actor so young.

Jacob’s father is played by 24’s Kiefer Sutherland — he lost his wife on 9/11 and is struggling to maintain custody of Jacob, who his autistic and sees patterns in numbers.

The show spans the globe in the first episode, but it never feels rushed or unorganized.  It is about the way humans are all connected, connected in ways we never dreamed of.  And it’s also about how Jacob, without words, gives his father numeric clues to help people that don’t even know they need to be helped.
Danny Glover plays and eccentric Professor Arthur DeWitt, who specializes in children gifted with numbers.  His character convinces Jacob’s father that Jacob is trying to use numbers to communicate.

This show captured me completely.  I’ll be on deployment for its first season and I’m pretty sad, but I definitely wanted to recommend it to you guys.  It’s a great cast, written by the gifted Tim Kring.  The preview episode was directed by Francis Lawrence and he did a fantastic job managing all of the crazy elements at work in the first episode.  I hope you guys check it out.
